I wasn't as huge a fan of it until I started using Python, because most of the languages I used before made it too much work to create a new class for the relative payoff. In Python, creating new classes/etc is trivially simple, so it's worth is 90% of the time.

Thanks. I actually installed clojure last night, and gave a couple of the easy Project Euler (http://projecteuler.net/) problems a shot with it (http://github.com/JeremyBanks/euler_clojure/blob/9791a82d2b974998f46610918a48f515b2010f39/problems.clj). Zeena is a very depressed person. She is depressed because she thinks her husband does not love her and also because she is sick and needs to be taken care of, and ironically taking care of people is the one thing that Zeena is good at. All of these things taken into effect might explain why Zeena is a quiet person.

I tried to write something on an internet forum that was expressing my thoughts. It disappeared. My thoughts were edited out of history like they never had existed in the first place. The original post was not edited. There was no friendly warning that it was going to go away. It was just wiped out of existence so fast that Big Brother would have been jealous.

Then I got a form letter with vague references to the Code of Contact that referred to my quote as "disruption." By the way, disrutption (as clarified by the Code of Conduct of WotC) is defined as spamming repeatedly, making off topic posts, or advertising. I was not doing any of this. I had just called a man who was being unpleasantly smug an "ass". Which, I might add, is not a filtered word, so the use of it should not be sufficient to get me a warning.

What the robot form letter should have said (if it was to be slightly less inaccurate) was that my post had violated section three of the CoC, which states "Do not harass, bully, threaten, harm or cause discomfort for other persons, including any other members."

Now, this man was being entirely too smug about something which he knew nothing about, and up on his high horse he said something that was entirely untrue about something involving me. From my perspective, he was harassing me. I simply called him out on it, referring to him as an "ass," which is exactly what he was being. "Ass", as I said before, is not a word flitered by WotC, therefore being entirely fair game.

I sincerely hope that WotC starts to become nicer to their costumers. I was very disappointed with the way that I was treated in this mishap. I am not angry that I got a warning. Quite frankly, I deserved it. All I want is some respect. Whichever nameless customer service agent that deleted my post and gave me a warning for its contents *didn't even know which part of the CoC I was breaking*. Let me reiterate. His/her sole job is to uphold the Code of Conduct and he/she DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IT SAYS.

There was no recognition that my post even existed, and as a customer I was swept under the rug and made to look like I was never there. There was a day when a friendly Wizo (who had a name, and I knew and respected) would give me a heads up that I had done something wrong, and would take the time to edit any bad parts out of my post so that it was CoC friendly. Now a faceless ORC with little actaul knowledge of the Code of Conduct only cares enough about me, the customer, to send me a cursory form letter with a robotic warning. Then he/she hits delete and my comment will never be seen again. I am saddened by this new day, and hope that a change comes soon.
