Of course, this is just a joke; as with Magic 2010, the joke being that with every new set that comes out, someone says it will be a disaster.

Here, we don't know anything at all about the set.

Except...

It needs to be either a gimmick set or an artifact set, if it's one of the traditional five types, since the other three are multicolor (like Alara itself) or the two types which a multicolor set followed - to which a multicolor set is nontransitively superior! So if they used a tribal/creature set, then they would have to resort to the dreaded power inflation to rotate the format!!

And Alara block seems so powerful! And it's even got the card Defiler of Souls in it. How will a new block end up not looking like Kamigawa?

So maybe there is cause for worry. Not because of the new set we don't really know much about... but because of the block we do know.
