Street Fighter IV. I rented it yesterday for PS3 and I'm liking it a lot so far, the only problem is that my habit of parrying (from SF3: Third Strike) lands me in trouble as parrying doesn't work by pressing forward at the time an attack would hit in SF4, that leads only to getting hit (instead you can start a 'focus attack' that absorbs the first hit you take while focusing). Fun game though.

That is pretty badass. It's amazing how not crappy the original Blood Omen looks when it's on a small screen, as compared to how awful it looks on a 54-inch TV.

Tales of Symphonia (1st one) on Mania mode, it's kinda low priority because I've already played it three times.

Pokemon Plat: Decently far in but I gorged myself so much on the game I kinda got burnt out about 6 badges in, I'll probably repick it up in a few days.

Chrono Trigger: This will be my second attempt at the game (my first one involved me ceasing to play it about 60-70% of the way in) but I actually want to beat it this time. The game is episodic enough that if I save at the beginning of each dungeon (as opposed to after because christ it's easy to forget where you're supposed to go next) that I can switch off between it and other stuff easily.

I'm normally not one for rotating between games before finishing them but with rpg's it's kinda easy to want a break from them due to somewhat dull combat.

I'm so glad that I tried out the rom before buying. Didn't even make it to gym 3 before deciding it was shit.
I wouldn't say it was shit. I like it a lot really, it's just that I played it 6+ hours a day everyday for the first several days after I got it and it is a turn based rpg.

I find playing the game strategically makes it more interesting. The game is such that if you fight every trainer you see but don't grind much on wild pokemon (other than to catch em obv) your team of pokemons (assuming leveled equally) will be about 3-5 levels below a gym leader's lower level pokemon and about about 5-9 levels below their highest level pokemon. This makes the fights somewhat challenging (I usually lose once or so before learning their entire lineup and seeing what order they bring them out) and pretty fun. Back when I played through red/blue I just overleveled my starter and swept gym leaders with him, which felt notably more boring to me (though less frustrating at times).

Overall my only major gripe with the game is that the quality of gen IV pokemon sucks. Like there are some really strong ones and whatnot, but their appearance is terrible. The sprites for a lot of the newer gen ones look lamer than the sprites in gen I. I like the worldmap and updated gen I sprites though. Battle animatons would also be pretty cool if they didn't take so long, I turned them off like an hour into the game because I got tired of doubling battle time.

Yeah, which is something I can't say about most other FPS games (I'm looking at you, Halo).

Halo was fun for a while. I think that I can only tolerate the multiplayer, or rather anything Halo related, because I played Halo 2 multiplayer so much. But for amount of game variety along with great levels, an awesome leveling system, tons of unlockables, and an awesome list of guns to pick from I don't ever want to play halo again.

Although my gay friends love it. :V

Halo feels way too repetitive. I know, MW2 is basically the same, too, but... I dunno. I get bored of Halo in less than an hour, but playing MW2 at a friend's house typically means I lose whatever part of the day I had left.

I think it's because the pace of MW2 is much faster than Halo. It takes almost nothing to kill somebody, it doesn't take long to get across the maps if you know where you are going, and you don't have to wait to respawn.

Also, in Halo you have to look for the weapons you want to use, so it's this constant moving back to places you know where the guns spawn and hoping they are there. Maybe this isn't the exact reason why MW2 is better than Halo but I feel like it's got something to do with it.

Or, maybe because there are less 10 year olds playing. Although you do get more blacks.

I've gotten Paradox Interactive games. Being a RTS player who doesn't want to load his computer with graphics intensive games, I haven't even redownloaded steam now that I have Magna Mundi. Occasionally I realize holy shit, I just have 2 different game engines on my computer and that's all.

Enjoying Psychonauts for the first time, for 2 dollars this game is a steal.

I must say that it doesn't seem to have much replay value, I can already tell that unless there is some massive motivation to do so, the second I beat this game it's being set down for good. The story is witty and compelling, but the gameplay is kinda eh and that grind for 1200 arrowheads to buy the magnet and web duster was mind numbingly boring. I was about ready to put the game down but goggalor rekindled my enjoyment.

I guess I play Pokemon too. I haven't beaten Fire red, so it's actually being played as something other than a waste of time. I'm trying to make Gary oak's team, though there wasn't a good flier so I'm replacing Pigeotto with either Dragonite as a Physical sweeper and physical wall, or Zapados, dunno yet.

Also Oak had a huge amount of attackers. Even not thinking about how shitty Nidoking is, Jolteon has the higher Special Defence out of all my pokemon.
