This ADD-fueled form of music is ffffing amazing. The dude did a concert in my school, but I thought it was a vagina monologues thing and didn't go.
Biggest regret of my life.

I'm just going to lol at you for a little bit first.
I'm just going to lol at you for a little bit first.
All the hipster kids are doing it.
Listening to girltalk, that is.
Not laughing at me.
Well, maybe a bit of both.

I like girltalk but I'm not a hipster.
And Third Eye Blind came to my school. =/
THESE GUYS ARE FROM ENGLAND AND WHO GIVES A SHIT
But honestly, I don't understand the fuss behind girltalk. Isn't he like The Avalanches but with far less ability to blend the samples into an actual coherent song? Can't I basically do what he does on my ffffing mac? Isn't music composed entirely of samples a bullshit genre that has sort of been played out this year and really has been going downhill since ...Endtroducing? Does he sweat too much?
I think the biggest thing about him is that he samples stuff that you're probably not going to like on its own and makes it good.

Okay, I'll look out for that.
I think I got some original David Bowie stuff unless this ebay seller ripped me off (likely, oh well) and some other stuff.

I've heard people talk of them before but this is the first time I listened and I can't say I'm impressed.
Maybe I'm just not hip enough.

1. I haven't listened to girltalk.
2. My friend saw Beirut at your school, plust, and said they were great.
3. My records are actually my parents's records, save for a Black Flag record that I bought.
4. I, too, bought that turntable from woot, but only from audio ripping purposes.
5. My rig is pretty sweet because my dad's mid-life crisis involves buying copious amounts of tube amps and old speakers.
6. :V
7. Goodbye cruel world

I really want Lodger :(
I have The Man Who Sold the World, Hunky Dory, Ziggy, Aladdin Sane, Station to Station, Low and Heroes. So basically I really only need one more Bowie album.
Upset because the copy of No Pussyfooting I just bought today has some awful surface noise but I'd grade it around NM.
Apparently I'm being sent Let's Dance, Tonight, Ziggy, and two singles.

1. Yes, girltalk has gotten me some action but
2. THEY AREN'T COOL ANYMORE AND IF YOU PLAY THEM PEOPLE WILL QUIETLY THINK LESS OF YOU FOR PLAYING THEM SO LATE UNLESS YOU'RE DOING IT AS A JOKE, WHICH YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY NOT

Why in the fuck would you ever want to label yourself as a "hipster"?
I mean, you're putting yourself halfway to "hipster doofus" voluntarily.

who called himself a hipster?
No one did, but it's being mentioned as if doing what hipsters do was a desirable course of action.
I can't believe I just highlighted that entire thing.
