Isn't he the guy who wrote a bunch of samurai books? I haven't read any of those, but I read this Kawabata guy who is kind of interesting. Basically I'm obsessed with the japs.

Yeah, I've read Tale of Genji. Have you? Did you like it? I thought it was kind of meh. It was excellent if you want to fall asleep though!

But, yeah, I'm just kind of interested in modern Japanese culture, I guess because they seem so different from us whiteys.
