Helm of Awakening has the same effect as Sculptor, costs generic mana, isn't a creature, and has existed since before Top was printed. If this combo were going to make an impact on anything, it would have already.

Not that that really matters that much but still.

It is the sacred duty of every johnny and jenny to get every card possible banned. Then will come a glorious day when they realize the futility of banning and every card will become legal in every format, and there was much rejoicing.

I think that + the fact that the formats that Sculptor + Top are legal in also contain Helm, which is a better choice over all pretty much seals it.

But that's just one man's opinion.

Iono, this might not be bad for stax, actually, since the dude is weldable and stax obv doesn't want to make stuff cheaper for the opponent. Still not very zomg awesome, tho.

White stax is okay, but it seems clunkier than 5c or uba. White blue (or red white blue) might be good, tho.
