So i'm not sure there is even enough people here to talk about the NFL in general so I won't make a bunch of threads bout different things but load em all on this.

anyone here watch/follow/have a team?

for me, a new englander, clearly pats are for me.

I follow the eagles.

I are sad that Dawkins is gone.

Tony3
03-02-2009, 09:19 PM
he was getting old (35?) so i can understand why they'd trade him while his stock is somewhat high.

however he had a resurgent year and i'd think they shoulda signed him for 2 or so years to finish out his career and eagle

Packers fan here. The fucking defense better step up

Tony3
03-02-2009, 09:23 PM
tbh i don't really know anything bout the packers besides.

a. favre is a whining little girl
b. aaron rodgers is okay
c. the cornerbacks are really good but old

what happened to go from 13-3 to so bad? howd grant play

The day after the eagles won 60% percent of my school went to the parade instead of going to school the next day.

The offense played well, the defense really sucked, they depended too much on the corners but as you said they are old. Rodgers had a good year but most of the time he'd fall apart in the 4th quarter

From Pittsburgh, lived here all my life. Guess.

Why now, a month or so after the season ended?

Also, I support the Eagles because I grew up in PA. Plus I love how terrible they are. Philadelphia is a disappointment town. :V

McNabb needs to go. He can play, but he's a whiny little bitch. The last time we got close to a superbowl win, McNabb was out for the entire season.

He does need to go but we have no good replacement, which sucks. Also he doesn't know the rules of the game?

And also: Phillies World Series anyone?

because i wasn't here during the regular season?

because free agency just started?

because the 2008 detroit lions thing made me realize people here actually know sports.

McNabb imo, deserves a little whining. The fans there treat him like crap. He was booed when he was drafted. Every week the team expected him and Westbrook to put on their superman capes and carry the team. They got him DeSean but he still needs another weapon. He wants to get a ring and he is just going to be smart about it and not sign til he sees the progress.

I don't give a shit. Every time there's a turnover or interception, McNabb sits on a bench with a towel over his head and cries until his mama brings him some Campbell's Chunky Chicken Noodle Soup. You don't want someone like that on your team for the same reason they got rid of TO.

Tony3

so pulling a 07 postseason LT?

i can see your point, but you have to admit every offensive failure is blamed on him pretty much. and he does have little to work with.

Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning
Brandon Jacobs vs Adrian Peterson
Larry Fitzgerald vs Randy Moss
Patrick Willis vs Lofa Tatupu

I know very little from football.

However, what I do know has come mostly from playing Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES for the last 2 hours.

1) The only white men on any football teams are quarterbacks and special teams.
2) Extra points are nearly impossible to miss, but also nearly impossible to block.
3) It is possible to complete and endzone-to-endzone pass, provided your quarterback's name is Joe Montana and your receiver's name is Jerry Rice.
4) Thurman Thomas is the greatest football player of all time.
5) Bo Jackson is a close second.
6) If you get angry that you're losing, you can hit the reset button and start that game over again.
7) Some quarterbacks are dedicated enough to their teams to change their last names to the team name- e.g., QB Eagles, QB Bills :V

EDIT-
8) Half time shows are sexy time:

This man is a golden god.

EDIT The 2 - I just realized that this game came out before some of you were born and that I remember playing it when it was new.

if you hate me so much then just put me on ignore? and its not like i'm the only person talking about it.

EDIT:
the falcons will aboslutely, no possible way win the superbowl.

nice comeback story and all, but they don't have anywhere near the talent of steelers, giants, patriots, colts, vikings, etc.

actually. in a more broad and simple topic.

where do you think your team will finish record wise/playoffs?

Shadow
03-03-2009, 10:58 PM
What sport now?

Seeing that the family is broken between Jets and Giants fans I'm looking for the Jets to be failures and the Giants to get to the playoffs and then nothing after that.

As a Yankees fan it's World Series winner every year.

And as a Devils fan I'm looking for them to stay in 2-3 place and make it deep into the playoffs.

Tony3
03-03-2009, 11:02 PM
I honestly don't know much about baseball. but do you think their'd be enough for its own thread and sox vs yankees.

giants are a great team if they get plax back. without him they floundered last year.

also jets this and last year have gone all out on free agency and done actually fairly well. as a pat fan i'm more worried about them than the jets. especially with rex ryan (ex balt def coordinator) improved defense, improved coaching, not held back by favre.

they are the new redskins.

Unless we lose in AFC championship to the steelers, we'll win superbowl.

whoever wins between NE and Pittsburg will 75% chance win the superbow.

Sometimes its better to just ignore most of it.
