From what the pros have heard about the game, they're kinda already worried it's going in the wrong direction. So I don't really have high hopes for it.

The pros are all 13 year-old Korean kids, though. I'm sure it'll still be fun for the average gamer.

The thing is there's already plenty of really good casual rts's out there, I'd be kinda depressed if the newest SC was designed just to be another one. I'm sure it'le be fun and everything, I just don't like the current trend of catering to the casual.

There is too much hype, ten years of it. It will never live up to it. It will be a good game, for sure2, but it won't be Starcaft.

This is what I love about it.

You can customise the hotkeys. You can stack mutas without fiddling around with larvae. It won't look like Warcraft 3. Oldschool intro screens, none of the walk around the bridge crap. It won't have DRM. Wayfinding is improved. It runs off a cardboard box. Spawning pools cost double, just to piss with Zerg players. Orbital superweapons. Scouts and Nukes and Valkyries don't still suck. Zeratul is back again. You can perve on Sarah Kerrigan.

I don't ever play anymore, but i'd be willing to play some if we can get a source tournament/ffa/racewar type thing going.

I heard it's because LAN support allows multiple people to play on one copy of the game, but if they restrict it to BNet only, everyone has to buy a copy.

Also, I was reading a financial report on Blizzard and they said that it's not looking good for this game to be released in 2009.

That's the point ain't it? People play the spawned version, decide that they like it, then go out and buy a copy. Worked for Starcraft 1 now didn't it? Last i checked it was still selling for $20, 11 years since it was made.

But if they restrict it it to Bnet, no one(me) is going to bother. How will it take before it's no longer a free service? Plus lag issues and download caps etc. FUCK. THAT. SHIT.

acting like a ghetto idiot and getting them to talk trash, then owning them is awesome. or setting up 2vs2, with 2 friends, and one on the other team is a 3rd friend and making it 3vs1

unless you're zerg I imagine stacking them makes them easier to kill, what with splash damage and all.

it was "7vshard comp. so you have essentially infinite resources and it makes whatever you want in like 1 second. some units get 9999/9999 shield and health. each hit also does a wopping ONE DAMAGE. icannons fall under this category

so basically 2 people left, 1 died, 2 killed the computer as i fought ten thousand invincible cannons with a kajillion marines and tanks.
