I don't think anyone cares enough to moderate this, but could posters try to be a little less retarded?

Just because you have a thought doesn't mean anyone gives a shit. There's IRC for chattyness.

It's garbage like this that made TS more and more unreadable before it died. When there's 20 new posts every refresh and none of them say anything it's easy to miss good stuff because you start marking whole forums as read when you see the same user name pop up 7 times in the "last post by" column.

Spammy/chatty posts aren't bad when there's small surges of activity occasionally, but when I'm having trouble keeping all forums marked as read and only 2 people are posting I think there's a problem.

I will say that a lot of it is that I just got here. I don't have plans to be this posty anymore; I was just reading all the threads I missed. Up late alone and bored accounts for some of it obv, but not most of it, I think.

I dunno, I just think there's a limit. Outright banning spam/chatting in threads would be retarded because this is TS, but on the same token, everything in moderation kind of applies.

Mainly I just like to keep tabs on all threads but when someone's posting at the maximum speed of the spam filter it's pretty annoying to never head back to the main page and have everything be marked as read. When I go into a forum I just looked at and 7 threads have new posts I say ÷÷÷÷ it and mark them all as read, but still feel like I might be missing something. Perhaps I'm just OCD though.

Yeah, I've been sarcastically ranting (DID YOU ALL GET THATZ I'M WITTY) on a number of threads I thought were really stupid. I agree with you, Jenius, even if I'm probably part of the problem. I don't think we need moderators, part of why I haven't given PK my dirty money, but there does need to be something shaping the content to a certain level of achievement.

It's like we've gone through 4 years of TS in a week.
