Unless I'm missing something aren't all those answers incorrect? D is obviously the closest bt considering it's a national line there's no reason to infer the people called from Ohio.

By this criterion, all of science is math. Fortunately, our language admits of such intricacies that a science may make use of mathematics without being mathematics.

Isn't math a science but not all science is math?

no, math is not a science.

Science is just a fancy word for "field of study", dummy.

Math isn't really a field of study either. You don't really study math. You use it.

It's a tool.

you don't use math. you try to understand it.
why does 2+2=4and not 22?
It is kind of like philosophy.

haha. It does because we say it does. Philosophy time over.

Then you quit being a dumbass and start using it again to build things like bridges and spaceships and Large Hadron Colliders.

Pure math (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pure_mathematics) is a valid area of research in which people seek to prove and derive mathematical results. In other words, they study math. If there happen to turn out to be real world applications, then that's good too, but it's not necessarily the point. There are plenty of people who do research in analysis, probability, geometry, algebra, topology, and the various other mathematical fields as subjects in themselves.

Pretty much all hard sciences (and biological sciences though our knowledge doesn't extend quite that far yet) are just applied math.

That is to say if I were to describe math as anything it would probably be a language.

It's a tool. You are an insanely incompetent fuck. More fairly, you don't understand what math is. Math is pure logic, science is a combination of experimental information and logic. Math is certainly a field of study, there is very much work to be done in it, and discoveries in math have very often been made before their manifestation in science was discovered.

Well I don't think Ave would post this way and I'm Jenius so I'm confused as to who else knows enough math to be indignant over someone else insulting it.

Kant's my best guess because he has the tendency of talking out of his ass when he has somewhere between little to no knowledge of the subject.

Also you're not Jenius, I'm Jenius, you liar.

Also this was a pretty good impression of me until the last line. Starting with also was key as was overuse of commas, but "you liar" is too forward for my round about way of stating things.
