How is that Philosophy forum, Ave? Obviously good enough for you to post there, but, how often do you actually go/participate there? Most of the philosophy forums I've seen suffered from one of two pitfalls: an overabundance of morons, or a surplus of pretentious dickbags.
EDIT: Given that it's a philo forum the latter is to be expected. What I really meant was that they're unhelpful and dismissive if you're inquisitive about something you're unsure about. Ironic, in a way.

How is that Philosophy forum, Ave?Decent enough, but it is certainly still susceptible to the usual problems. Obviously good enough for you to post there, but, how often do you actually go/participate there? Not terribly often, but that's more because I don't have a lot of time to put into well-thought out posts than because of anything having to do with the forum. Most of the philosophy forums I've seen suffered from one of two pitfalls: an overabundance of morons, or a surplus of pretentious dickbags. It has a few individuals who can be said to fall into both categories. Casual observation indicates that the moderation seems to be fairly quick to ban people in the former but also seems sometimes to be comprised largely of people in the latter.
Given that it's a philo forum the latter is to be expected. What I really meant was that they're unhelpful and dismissive if you're inquisitive about something you're unsure about. Ironic, in a way.I haven't observed any serious problems in this regard. They certainly have an "old guard" of sorts who tend to be relatively dismissive of new or (relatively) uneducated posters, but they also have several people who seem to be genuinely interested in philosophy and in helping others to understand it.

No, I guess. I used to have Thunderbird set up to check my RSS feed for me, but I reformatted a while back, and I never set it back up. Also, I kind of like going to the cartoon's website itself.

the only thing on mine would be xkcd, so there's not really much point.
Added this for appropriate situations--
