I went to FNM, drafting M10 last week.

The rule changes didn't make a difference.

You were playing with cards in M10, right?

Well it was drafting M10, so yes.

Seriously, it never came up that I wanted to do something I couldn't.

That being said, that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

So, if you use M10 cards that are made specifically for M10 rules then shouldn't the rules work perfectly with each other?

That's a possibility. It was never like, "after combat damage I kill you", though.

Pretty much, yeah. I wouldn't expect them to have put any combat tricks in a set released after combat tricks no longer exist.

You know what pisses me off about mana burn, though, on a related topic? The main argument I saw in favor of it's removal was, "No one even knows it exists because it comes up in games so rarely." Well no shit, you fucking idiots, that's because people are managing their resources so as not to take mana burn. Of course it's not going to come up. Not that I expect it to come up a lot more now that it's gone, because it's mainly important in formats where things like Dark Ritual and LED exist, and most Magic fags don't play those formats, but w/e I'm just rambling.

I think the dumbest part of the new rules other than combat is that mana doesn't float from phase to phase anymore. Which is just really dumb...

Can someone give a link for someone like me, who hasn't played the game in a couple of years, explaining what the big changes in this set are?
